Des Moines, IA -  Iowa’s Third District Congressman Tom Latham unveiled the Traveling Help Desk schedule for the month of December this week. Congressman Latham's Traveling Help Desk provides an opportunity for any constituent to meet in, or near, their hometown one-on-one with a member of his Congressional staff to help cut government red tape or to voice questions, comments, and concerns.

“If you have an issue or concern that you rather consult with my office one-on-one, the Traveling Help Desk brings that service out to your community or nearby,” noted Latham. “This is an innovative approach to constituent service that has proven to be popular with Iowans.”

The Congressman's staff can answer questions for, or offer help to, individuals who have problems with Social Security or veterans benefits, who want to ask for help getting into the U.S. Military Academies, who want to discuss problems with farm programs, the Internal Revenue Service or any other federal agency. Latham's staff will also be available to pass along Iowan's opinions about issues of national concern to Congressman.

No appointment is necessary for the outreach that travels each month to every county of the Third Congressional District. Anyone needing further information regarding the Help Desk, and those needing special assistance, should contact Congressman Latham's East Constituent Services Office in Des Moines at 515-282-1909 or by visiting the Traveling Help Desk section of the website (Latham.House.Gov) and filling out the request form.
